A quick and inexpensive tutorial for a Patriotic door decoration.
Accordion fold 3 pieces 4" x 12" of red, white and blue paper. I used my scoring board. Tape each piece together to make a complete circle.
Layer this piece on top of a solid 12" x 12" scrapbook paper covered with another crumpled piece of 12" x 12" patriotic scrapbook paper. I distressed my papers and highlighted some areas with brown ink.
Add a bingo card embellished with stars and backed with a red paper cut 1/2" bigger than the card. Highlight the number 4. Also add another element like a flashcard. I used an F card and typed the remainder of the word Freedom. I also holepunched a star shape on the flashcard.
Add some more tags at the bottom. I used a red tag with a Fourth of July rub on and another tag attached with a star brad. I aged the pieces with more brown ink.
Place some grommets at the tope to attach ribbon to hang it.
Added vintage ribbon and tie your banner to an old wooden hanger.
A new Fourth of July banner!

Sue, I put the foil over a plastic rubbing plate and burnished it carefully; adhered it to paper with soft gel medium and let it dry overnight then applied a wash of Adirondac ink.
That is such a great idea. Naturally, I really like it because of the bingo card. I play often with other seniors.
Sue. thanks for visiting on Pink Saturday...You asked about the Mary Kay Andrews books...I had a recommendation to start with Savannah Blues then read Savannah Breeze since Blues introduces us to the characters and the the background is in place for Breeze. Enjoyed them both...quick fun summer reads...I liked the plot line in Breeze a little more than Blues. I'm well into Hissy Fit now and it is even more fun. This is certainly my MKA summer. We girls reared in the Suth can understand the settings and characters and their love of old homes from the very start...The characters are just the embodiment of all things Pink...I even found 5books for $25 at Hastings. Used but perfect! What a Deal! Have a Pink Week.
