Happy Valentine's Day to you all. I love celebrating any holiday but usually skip over this one because of Mardi Gras. Since Fat Tuesday is so late this year, it gives me time to do a little bit for my Valentines!
I decided to make each of my grands a pillowcase. I used the darling Valentine fabric I won a few weeks ago from Freda for Georgia and Avery and bought some dinosaur fabric for Gabe. For the girls I added some machine embroidery and pieced the top together. I just use an old pillowcase for measuring the 2 large ones and just made a pillow myself for the small one.
It's the first time I've tried writing freehand with my sewing machine and it was such fun. I know I'll be doing it again soon! I'm also having a little Valentine tea party Sunday evening. I'll post those pics next weekend if not sooner.
I also wanted to link to a new blog that I've been enjoying. Sandy, aka Doris the Great, is really funny and thrifty.
Hope y'all all have a wonderful weekend and great Valentine's Day. Hope on over to visit some other pink lovers at Beverly's, How Sweet the Sound. You'll be glad you did!

That's a sweet idea to give your grandchildren those cute pillowcases. I have never tried to stitch freehand on my machine. Might try it soon.
I love this fabric, and I'm sure it will be treasured by your 'grands' - I bet they won't want to go to sleep, they'll be so excited.
Thank you so much for visiting and leaving a comment. Sorry I'm late, I was teaching yesterday (Saturday) and we've been out for Valentine's lunch today (Sunday) so only just started visiting! Happy Pink Weekend, and hugs from the UK.
Love the pillowcases! What a great idea for a gift!
That pc is darling!!!!! What a thing that they will treasure and enjoy. I so wish that I could so, and yeah, the free-hand stitching looks really cool!
