Pink Saturday

Good morning! Hopefully the sun will shine here today and chase some of the gloomy skies away!! It's still pretty cold down here but when I watch the tv I'm so grateful we don't have all the ice and snow storms. Praying for all of you who do to keep safe and warm.

For my Pink contribution this week I'm showing my new curtains in my studio. The fabric was given to me by my mom and she has no idea where it came from. It wasn't quite wide enough to fit so I added a pink border around the whole thing and hung it with tension rods. I really love it!

The fabric sort of reminds me of the artist Anahata Katikin. Her work is just beautiful and is influenced by Asia. Check it out if you have time to drool!

I've been trying to organize my space while still sewing and doing other orders and also making Georgia a few things like this robe. A little bit at a time is not too overwhelming and maybe I'll be done one day!

We all had robes and she wanted one too of course! I used a couple of towels and made my own bias tape to finish the edges. I also put snaps on it so those little fingers could close it easily.

Another blog I've been enjoying on the pink list is One Perfect Bite. Her recipes are awesome and doable (I guess that's a word?). Always makes me hungry though!!

I also need to get ready for the big game tomorrow night. I'm really hoping the Saints win but I've always loved the Colts too. I lost a brother and sister a couple of years ago about 5 months apart and he lived in Indianapolis and loved the Colts and she was a big Saints fan like all of us here in Louisiana. I can imagine their conversation right now-very colorful I'm sure!! Anyway, no matter who wins, I respect both teams and players and pray they all play safe but I have to add, Geaux Saints!!!!
Hope y'all all have a wonderful pink day and have some time to visit some of the pink list from Beverly

Hi Suesue! I hope you're having a lovely Pink Saturday. Your curtains are too cool. The fabric is so lively and colorful. My favorite is little Georgia's robe. Her smile is priceless! I was saddened to read that you lost both a brother and sister in recent years. I don't know what I'd do without my sister. She means the world to me. I smiled at the thought of your siblings talking trash about each other's team! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the Super Bowl. Please stop by for a visit if you're able. Terri

I can see a woman dancing in the fabric. I didn't quite notice her from afar :-)

And as always, Georgia is such a cutie! Her robe and its pinkness fits her :-) Towels and some colorful fabric - - - that's a nice project to keep in mind :-)

Happy Pink Saturday!
(I agree, Mary's blog always makes you hungry LOL)

I can't believe you were able to fashion a robe from the materials you had on hand. You are really good and she is really darling. Thanks so much for your kind words and the link. I hope you had a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
